This cookbook is dedicated to the memory of Alex and Roselia Embry, two wonderful parents of seven children, twelve grandchildren, eleven great‐grandchildren, and one great‐great-grandchild.  Alex and Roselia Embry were married in Richmond, Kentucky, on December 24, 1940.  Without their expertise in the kitchen this cookbook would not be possible.  They passed their culinary skills to their children and their children took these special abilities and transferred them to their children, which carry on generation after generation.  One of their daughters, Sandra, decided to start her own catering business and named it after her parents, Alrose Catering.  During family gatherings and holidays throughout the year the memories of Alex and Roselia Embry come alive.  This is evident when the many recipes they created during their lifetime appear on the table.
